Albatross AI Capital was founded on a single conviction: the most transformative AI breakthroughs will be unlocked by the teams building the foundational infrastructure layer — not the applications that run on top of it.

When Michael Torres launched the firm in January 2022, the AI infrastructure market was still nascent. Developer tooling was fragmented. Compute orchestration was an afterthought. Most funds were chasing consumer applications. We went the other direction — and the market has validated that thesis decisively.
